My eight year old son cannot communicate at all, has daily meltdowns, and cannot stand on his own. He is like a baby that never hit any milestones. He's never pulled to stand, never out of diapers, never fed himself or walked unassisted and loud or sudden noises make him cry. He is missing a piece of DNA (chromosome 9q22.2) but we are unsure if it made him disabled. He has a diagnosis of partial agenesis of the corpus callosum, microcephaly, and infantile Autism.
I let Andy stand at the sink in front of me while I do the dishes and load the dishwasher. He enjoys playing in the water. I also have him stand at the sink for toothbrush time and hand washing after school.
